Hinterland aims to connect food, people and place.

“We live in an interconnected world, in an interconnected time, and we need holistic solutions”
Naomi Klein

We’re dedicated to community-rooted research, creativity, and action that nourishes just, inclusive and sustainable food futures. We respond to the intersecting challenges of climate, agriculture, access, and belonging by cultivating holistic, place-based models of change.

Our work moves beyond single-issue solutions to address the deep entanglements of food insecurity, social and economic inequality, land disconnection, and the legacies of structural, racial, and gender-based injustice. We centre those most impacted to co-create a more vibrant, inclusive food system.

Join us on Maurice Deasy’s farm and farmhouse brewery to celebrate Samhain. The farm has a  regenerative agriculture practice of a no-till system. The no-till method means the ground isn’t ploughed before planting, which aims to reduce soil damage. They’ll be demos and a brewery tour as well as a tasty seasonal BBQ.

TIME: 12pm - 4pm
